A PCN can only be fully processed in Fleetworks by selecting both a Ticket Type and an Issuer.
To help decide how we manage a PCN we utilise two key pieces of information. For every PCN we need to know what Ticket Type it is (i.e. a bus lane fine, a speeding ticket etc) and who the issuer was (i.e. Transport for London, the Police etc).
When you add a PCN you will select from a drop down list with all of the Ticket Types available for you to assign. Ticket Types will be displayed in the format as shown below.
In general the name of the ticket type will be shown followed by the action you intend to take - either assign or not assign it to the driver. That is followed by a marker to show the admin fee tariff you intend to charge (T1, T2, etc). And finally, an indication of the cost of a fine that has been paid and is due to be passed on to the client.
In the above screenshot the following fines are being described.
- Box Junction Fine (Assignable, T2) - a box junction fine that you intend to re-assign into the drivers name with an admin fee.
- Bus Lane (Assignable, T2) - a bus lane fine that you intend to re-assign into the drivers name with an admin fee.
- Bus Lane (Non-assignable, T2/65) - a bus lane fine that you have paid (directly or via your fleet supplier who may have paid it and charged you) and so are just notifying the driver about the admin fee and £65 fine.
- Congestion Charge (Assignable, T2) - a Congestion Charge fine that you intend to re-assign into the drivers name with an admin fee.
- Congestion Charge (Non-assignable, T2/80) - a Congestion Charge fine that you have paid and are notifying the driver about the admin fee and £80 fine.
Most clients only have one admin fee tariff set up. This is set up when your account details are first loaded into Fleetworks. If you would like a second tariff adding then please contact Admin. For example, you could have two different admin fee's available for you to charge based on who the client is. Or you could choose based on the ticket type and charge one fee for reassignable fines and a different one for non-reassignable fines.
When you have selected the Ticket Type then Fleetworks will automatically adjust the number of available Issuers to reflect the issuers that issue that type of ticket. As a simple example, if you select a Ticket Type of Dart Charge(Assignable, T1) then the only avilable issuer will show as Dart Charge.
